Your pregnancy and delivery have disrupted your hormonal balance. The hormonal fluctuations that you experience after having your baby can cause changes in your hair growth. During your pregnancy, your hair will continue to grow and change, leaving hair that would normally fall out and make your hair look thicker. However, you can suddenly lose these hairs after pregnancy. Your hair does not fall out forever and hair loss is a temporary phenomenon. If you handle your hair with care and take good care of it, your normal hair growth will start again.
1- Carefully handle your hair
1-Do not wear your hair in tight tails or buns. If you pull your hair too much or tighten it tightly, this can aggravate your hair loss. Also, try not to use too many styling products or brush your hair through your hands. Wear your hair loose so that there is as little pressure as possible on it.
- Do not make tight braids, do not use rollers and avoid hair clips and hair bands
- Do not use oils for your hair. These can damage your hair and scalp.
- Do not try to play with your hair too much or pull on it
2-Use a comb with wide teeth. If the teeth of your comb are close together, there is a chance that you will pull your hair while combing. D. With a comb with wide teeth you will therefore pull less hair out of your head.
- Always be careful when combing your hair.
- Be very careful if you comb your hair wet and do not try to remove tangles by pulling hard on your hair.
3-Be careful with heat. Do not use warm styling devices such as hair dryers and flat irons. If you use a hair dryer, it is best to set it to the coolest setting.
2-Take care of your hair
1-Use the right care products. There are all kinds of hair products, shampoos and conditioners that you can use to keep your hair full and healthy. You may have to try out a few different products before you find the one that best fits your hair. When choosing these products, try to pay attention to the following:
- Find a shampoo or conditioner that gives your hair more volume.
- Avoid “caring shampoos”. These often make your hair heavier, making it look less bulky.
- Avoid “intensive conditioners”. These too can make your hair heavier and also ensure that your hair becomes fat faster.
- Choose a conditioner that is specifically intended for fine hair.
- Products containing biotin or silica can also help well.
2-Avoid stress. Tension can cause your hair loss to get worse. They can stun your hair follicles, making your hair fall out more easily. Hair loss caused by stress can be reduced by relaxing more.  With a newborn baby it is of course not easy to ensure less stress. However, you can always ask for help if you need it, both from your parents and from friends or relatives.
3-Take a new hairstyle. Ask your hairdresser to cut your hair into a new model that will make your hair look fuller.  Keep in mind that hair loss after your pregnancy is a temporary phenomenon and that you can also take another haircut if your hair starts to grow normally again.
- Allow your hair a little longer to make your hair loss less noticeable.
4-Adjust your eating habits. What you eat can affect the health of your hair. For example, certain food products can make your hair healthier. Try to ensure that the following vitamins and minerals are in abundance in your daily diet:
- Egg whites. Hair consists mainly of proteins. If you get enough protein, your hair will stay beautiful and strong.
- Iron. Make sure you eat lean meat to get a healthy source of iron. Vegetarian iron sources are soybeans, lentils and spinach.
- Flavonoids and antioxidants. Fruits and vegetables can contain flavonoids and antioxidants that keep your hair follicles healthy.
5-swallow supplements. There are a number of supplements that can keep your hair healthy and strong. While you wait for your hormones to calm down and your hair grow back to normal, you can use these supplements to treat your hair.
- Swallow vitamins B, C, E and zinc.
- Research shows that oral biotin, zinc and certain creams with clobetasol propionate can prevent hair loss.
- Lavender oil with thyme, rosemary and cedar oil can be used to treat some forms of hair loss.
- Consider using the contraceptive pill. After your pregnancy your estrogen level will be lower than usual. The contraceptive pill can give your body an estrogen boost, which can reduce hair loss.
- Wait at least four weeks after giving birth before you start taking the contraceptive pill. If you start taking the medication too quickly, this may increase the chance of blood clots. – If you are breastfeeding, it is best to wait until your milk production has started. The contraceptive pill can affect your milk production.
- Do not worry. It is completely normal to have hair loss after your pregnancy. Everything will be back to normal within six to twelve months.
